Epilepsy
I do NOT treat the diagnosis of epilepsy. I do not place patients on medication that they may require for treatment of their epilepsy. I do not take patients off of any medication that they have been placed on for epilepsy or anything else.

However, if someone who has epileptic seizures comes to me and I find subluxation complexes that in my opinion are affecting their spine and skull, then I recommend that those subluxations complexes be corrected.
As a Chiropractor, finding and removing subluxation complexes is my job. Finding and removing subluxation complexes in the human body is the very definition; it is the core of the scope of Chiropractic. Anything else that I utilize is only for the purpose of strengthening the muscles, cartilage, and fascia to be more strengthened and balanced to hold the two adjacent bones in their proper alignment and to correct and prevent any Structural pathology, Functional pathology, or other abnormality of the system.
Epileptic seizures are classified into two main groups. Grand mal seizures are the larger, more dangerous ones where people lose consciousness, curl up in a writhing flexion or extension position and possibly swallow their tongues.
The petite mal seizures are smaller, may not last as long, the person may temporarily lose consciousness, and generally looks like they are quivering.
Seizures of both types can be made worse by subluxation complexes that distort the sphenoid and temporal articulation of the skull. One of the complicating factors of this type of subluxation complex is that it affects blood flow to the temporal portion of the brain causing it to dehydrate and atrophy more quickly than a normally aging brain. The more dehydrated that the brain becomes the less GABA is produced. It is as if the brain is short circuiting.
Finding and correcting subluxation complexes of the head, face, and skull will relieve the pressure of the sphenoid and temporal bones. Central Nervous System Restoration therapy is the name that describes what occurs when those subluxation complexes are removed and corrected.

Again, I repeat that I am a Chiropractor first and foremost. I find and correct subluxation complexes between two articulating bones. I do not treat the epilepsy itself; I only treat the subluxations that I find. The epileptic seizures reduce when the cranial subluxations are removed which actually causes better blood flow and spinal fluid flow within the lobes of the brain.
My intention is to help heal as many patients who have Epileptic Seizures associated with Chiropractic Cranial Subluxation Complexes as I can. Although I have had remarkable success using “Central Nervous System Restoration®” to treat very difficult cases, I am not allowed to make guarantees. Each patient is unique and each situation is different. If you continue to treat patients with Epileptic Seizures associated with Chiropractic Cranial Subluxation Complexes with the traditional approach; then you will get traditional high failure rates. My approach is quite different and effective.
